The inaugural Central Districts 3A Restricted Open Swiss Pairs was held on 3 May 2026. The event was held online, with 24 pairs from around Aotearoa competing for honour and glory (and some prize money).

The Central Districts teams had great success at the 2025 Regional Championships, with the Intermediate Team winning their division, and the Senior Team placing second.
